About

Meet Sonja

If you’re into enneagrams, I’m a 4. Or, in Meyers Briggs lexicon, INTJ. I value creativity, authenticity, self-expression and curiosity. Professionally, I’ve served in leadership and communications roles in private sector, higher education and non-profit organizations.

My insatiable thirst for learning has led to degrees in design, psychology and education, as well as certificates in mediation and life coaching.

Personally, I’m the daughter of an eccentric entrepreneur from Sweden and an Iowa farm girl. My husband and I live on 22 beautiful acres of forest and ponds in central Minnesota. We’ve got a young-adult daughter who is finding her way in the world, and a Wire-haired Pointing Griffon pup, Luna.

I’m passionate about supporting my community and currently serve as a volunteer director on governance boards for a shelter for victims of domestic abuse and a foundation serving women and girls.

During our gorgeous Minnesota summers you’ll find me outside as much as possible, tending to my many flower gardens with fingers in the dirt. I spend our chilly Minnesota winters dabbling in encaustic painting (melted colored wax) and cooking.
